Cheap Holidays in Cuba

Monday, December 21st, 2009

Probably you have been searching for some cheap Cuba holidays options already and you have not been very lucky. I intend to give you some tips on how to safe money before you book you package holidays to Cuba.

One element that increases the cost of a holiday package is definitely the transportation. When you want to visit few locations cause you want to get to know the real Cuba. Most travel agents out there will use taxi transfers in their quotes and when you hear the price then you start thinking maybe is best if I stick to 1 or 2 places to make it cheap.

My advice in this regard if you want to safe hundreds is to use VIAZUL Bus Company. Viazul has terminal in most of the Cuban provinces and the tickets are really cheap compared to taxi drives.

For the sake of comparing let’s take for instance a taxi transfer from Havana to Trinidad. This is a common combination that most tailor made tour operators use on their packages. A taxi from Havana to Trinidad costs around 150 GBP or 200 CUC and a ticket with Viazul cost just 25 CUC.

As you can appreciate the difference is huge. When you want to visit places like Havana, Pinar del Rio, Cienfuegos, Trinidad or Santiago de Cuba only in taxi transfers you could be paying well over 800 CUC. Viazul will safe you around 80 % of that amount.

Viazul has an excellent service. Their coaches are new and very comfortable. They come with WC, air conditioning and catering for long journeys.

Maybe you are one of those thinking of travelling around Cuba but don’t have a clue about distances and how large Cuba really is. When you look at the Mapa Mundi this island looks small compared to America but it actually stretches for more than 1200 Km from east to west.

Viazul although is very cheap compared to taxis it is a bit more uncomfortable. You will have to get a taxi from your hotel to the station and then get on the bus that will take you to your destination. As you can see it is not as comfortable as waiting for a taxi to take you to your next destination but is worth doing it if money is an issue.

Before you travel to cuba make sure to search for various options on cheap Cuba holidays.

Find San Diego Hotel Rooms Best For You

Saturday, December 19th, 2009

What to know about San Diego hotel rooms is easily gleaned from just a simple search of the Internet and maybe a visit to the website of the city the metropolis that bills itself as “America’s Finest City.” When one stops to consider everything that this Southern California city has to offer in terms of attractions and geography, it’s easy to see why it just may be the finest city around.

There is actually more to San Diego than just the city that lies within its borders. All around it, and at relatively close distances, are a great many hotel rooms in many different small towns and geographic areas bordering San Diego. The city itself influences small towns and other cities all the way to its southern border with Mexico and North up to Orange County and points east and west.

For the most part, hotel and motel rooms differ in a number of ways. For sure, there are a lot of sometimes very nice hotels in and around San Diego, with many located alongside one of the interstates were major highways running through the city. Hotels, though, are generally more upscale and a bit more pricey than motels, with many of the larger national hotel chains having a presence in the city.

For those more interested in a vacation or in some touring or sightseeing, and price is no object, the Hotel Del Coronado, over in Coronado, is the logical choice. Situated right on the Pacific Ocean and at the northwestern end of Coronado’s Silver Strand highway (which runs right past the U. S. Navy’s SEAL Team training school), the “Hotel Del, ” as it’s called, is a jewel in the city.

Other nice hotel rooms in San Diego can be found down by the harbor or over near Balboa Park, which is home to the world famous San Diego Zoo. Hotels are plentiful near the downtown area and near Pacific Coast Highway, which runs from the city all the way north for hundreds of miles. Depending on why San Diego is being considered for a stay (tourism, business) a hotel near the highway may make sense.

In general, San Diego hotel rooms are also those rooms that may be available and which are in other towns and communities that surround the city, such as in Del Mar and Carlsbad, which are just up the interstate to the north of the city. There are certainly more than a few expensive hotels in those two towns, in addition to the beautiful horse racing facilities found over in Del Mar.

Just west and north lays Kearny Mesa and Miramar, the former home of the U. S. Navy’s Top Gun fighter pilot training course. This area is more commonly referred to as “North County” and it’s a very nice area to visit. To the east of Miramar, along the coast, is La Jolla, which is part of San Diego but is thought of more as a separate community. There are a number of expensive hotels in the area.

No matter where the need for San Diego hotel rooms, it’s a sure bet that a quality hotel will be readily available. Almost all will be of extremely high character — as well as price, in some cases. Some may be historic, such as Coronado’s Hotel Del Coronado, while others may be far more modern and of a national chain look and character. Check the Internet for availability and prices.

Obtaining a Passport for Your European River Cruise

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

If you are bound for a European river cruise escapade, but live within the US, it is a must to obtain a passport. Although the standard identification card like your driver’s license often serves as an appropriate means of verifying identity in the US, such ID and other standard IDs are not acceptable when travelling overseas. It will take approximately one month to one and half months to obtain a passport in the U.S. When preparing for your river cruise in Europe, it is essential to provide yourself adequate time between the start of the passport application process to boarding the water vessel. Here, I will share the simple steps on acquiring your passport swiftly and easily.

The initial step to getting a passport so you can take a European river cruise is to obtain a copy of acceptable papers that verify that you are who you say you are. Examples of these papers include a birth certificate, or a certification that verifies your citizenship. Next, you will want to locate a business that specializes in taking pictures for passport use.

It is a good idea to get at least four made – while two will go towards the passport, a travel Visa may be required so it is good to have extra copies in your possession. Once you have complied with this initial requirement, you may now proceed in downloading the application form accessible from the TRAVEL.STATE.GOV website.

Naturally, you must properly fill up the passport application in order to be approved. Bear in mind, it is adviseable to be thorough so that your European river cruise is not delayed. You will need to pay a fee for the applicatiom. It is also a must to include payment information so that the application can be processed smoothly.

You should then mail the application to the address indicated on the application and instruction list. If you have filled out everything completely, you expect to receive the passport for your European river cruise within a month to month and a half.

Preparing for Northern Europe Cruise is not an easy task. If you’d like to read advices from experts, you should visit our website. I’d personally recommend French river cruises for everyone who wants to see beautiful places in Europe.

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

The capital city of England and Britain, London, has a large selection of highly interesting tourist attractions, ranging from the incredibly old to the very young. The majority of the tourist attractions are known all ’round the globe (for instance, the Tower of London, Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace). Among the recently created are the London Aquarium, Millennium Dome, Millennium Bridge and the London Eye.

The Merlin Entertainments London Eye (to give it its correct title), is more usually referred to as, just, the London Eye or,occasionally, the Millennium Wheel (due to the fact that it was built as part of the Millennium celebrations). The Merlin Entertainments London Eye was opened officially by the then U.K. Prime Minister, Tony Blair, on the evening of December 31 however, alarmingly there was a number of technical safety problems which led to it not being opened to the public until March 2000. When first erected it was the world’s tallest Ferris wheel having a height of four hundred and forty three feet.

The gigantic wheel can be found on the South Bank in Jubilee Gardens peering down upon the Houses of Parliament below. From within one of the 32 capsules towering over London you can see a large number of the many London landmarks, the earlier mentioned Houses of Parliament, Hampton Court Palace, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and St Paul’s are just some, what a great (and unique) way in which to see nearly all of London and, more than likely, one of the reasons it is one of the most popular visitor attraction in London.

The first flight on the London Eye is at 10 am but the ticket office opens at 9.30 am. The Eye closes at 9.30 pm between August and July, eight at night between October and April and at 9 ‘o clock at night for the remainder of the year.

Folk arriving by car will be pleased to know that there are 3 nearby car parks. For those traveling in coach parties there is parking very close to the Eye (phone) +44 (0)870 990 8886) for details.

The easiest method to travel to the London Eye is by the London Tube, simply get off at one of the following tube stations; Westminster, Embankment, Charing Cross, or the closest Waterloo. You can also arrive by boat, get off at Waterloo Millennium Pier.

Gay Tourism Guide: Hot Spots to Travel in Mexico

Thursday, September 10th, 2009

When people think of Mexico they tend to think of this country as traditional, macho and Catholic. Nothing is further from the truth. Just like everywhere else there are places where there is homosexuality in Mexico.

In fact, the state of Coahuila and Mexico City itself have legalized civil unions for gay and lesbian couples, with Michoacan, Veracruz, Puebla, Guerrero, Colima and Jalisco being well on their way to doing the same.

Despite the impression people have of Mexico as a conservative and religious nation, in some regards it leads its neighbors. However, many Mexican gays and lesbians are not out about their sexuality. Even though homosexuality is largely accepted in Mexico, a lot of gays and lesbians in Mexico would rather not proclaim their sexual preferences to the world.

One cultural difference between the US and Mexico is that Mexicans generally keep their private lives a little more private than we tend to in our country. However, Mexico is a very welcoming place for gay travelers, which led Planetout out to name Mexico as their 2007 travel destination of the year.

So, let’s take a look at the Mexico’s top gay destinations.

Cancun. On top of the list is Cancun. Is the newest hot spot for gay visitors. Traditionally it was Acapulco, or Puerto Vallarta. This even though it has an image that it is a place for straight people on Spring Beak.

Situated in the Yucatan Peninsula state of Quintana Roo, the city has a subtropical climate with average temperatures averaging between 81 and 95 degrees. Downtown Cancun is home to a lot of gay nightlife and is located only fifteen minutes from the Hotel Zone.

Cancun’s oldest and most popular gay club is the Karamba. For more than 30 years, this club has been packing its dance floor with a lively throng which includes many international tourists as well as locals. The Picante is also worth a visit. A little smaller than the Karamba, this club draws a mixed crowd of gays and straights, tourists and locals, transvestites and really, everyone.

Unofficially the gay beach is the Playa Delfines. It has the longest and widest beach. The Villas Tacul is geared towards homosexuals. There appears to be about hundreds of gay-friendly hotels to choose from.

Mexico City. As Mexico’s largest city (and in fact, Mexico City is even larger than New York City), Mexico City has a large gay and lesbian community and has even legalized same sex civil unions. Mexico City offers a lot of gay nightlife and culture, with many gay clubs, including a few dozen in the Zona Rosa alone. There are gay theater groups and an annual Gay Pride Parade.

Guadalajara. Mexico’s second city also has a large gay and lesbian population and is a great place for gay tourists to visit. Cultural amenities here include a popular gay radio show, a gay cultural center and a more atmosphere about homosexuality than seen in many other Mexican cities. Guadalajara has a particularly large lesbian population.

There is a long list of gay bars and clubs. But here is just a couple. The Angel’s bar that plays electronica. Monica’s Disco plays Latin rhythm disco. To locate other clubs and bars for a bit of nightlife look for La Guia Rosa or Zona Gay.

We really know the significance of your presence. You will find the best attendance, fun, entertainment and all your needs in this event. We have structured a perfectly-done plan covering all elements of your attendance’s main objective: to enjoy this unforgettable Latin Hot Party experience! Without a doubt these will be your best lesbian vacations.
