So it is a great country for gay vacations. Because of this wide acceptance and legal equality, Spain is among the top choices for safe, enjoyable gay vacations. From the sexually-charged scene in Madrid, to the higher-brow LGBT culture of Sitges, there is a thriving community in every major city and many of the smaller towns throughout this country that offers breathtaking scenery, stunning architecture, rich culture and history, and wonderful year-round weather that makes any time a good time for gay vacations to Spain.

Welcoming islands, cities and towns that should not be missed include Barcelona, Benidorm, Gran Canaria, Ibiza, Sitges, Valencia and Torremolinos, which are the most popular destinations for a gay vacation in Spain. Most of these hotspots offer excellent beaches and all offer exciting nightlife and a visible community. While Madrid is the place to be for anyone looking for a raucous LGBT scene, Ibiza and Gran Canaria offer a more laidback beach lifestyle and Valencia and Torremolinos offer a good mix of bars and beaches.

One of the most welcoming cities in Spain is Barcelona, which boasts amazing architecture, art and culture and is home to more clubs, bars, restaurants, bathhouses and other community establishments than any traveler could fit into their gay trips. Visitors will surely want to visit LEixample, where most of the community bars and businesses are located, as well as the fabulous beaches located around this city that boasts a very active, very visible community. Barcelona is a cosmopolitan city that has earned its rank among the most welcoming, most out places in Europe and also makes a great home base for side trips to other areas that are popular with LGBT locals and visitors, such as the beach town of Sitges.

To make the most of your gay single travel, consider traveling to Spain as part of an organized gay travel tour group, which will allow you to explore this fascinating country and all that it has to offer while making new friends and sharing your experiences with like-minded tourists.

If you prefer to explore alone, or with your partner or a small group friends, consider arranging your trip through a professional travel agency that is accustomed to organizing gay tours to Spain. This will help ensure that you have a great travel experience that is safe and enjoyable.

There are spots in town where a person can spend hours listening to stories about the history of the village and surrounding area. A person can find out all of the little out of the way spots to explore and see the interesting sites.

Spending a vacation is a place so magnificent allows a person to spend days wandering around the lake, hiking through the countryside, and sitting on the top of a hill to watch the world go by. A Little Formentera Guide

Friday, January 29th, 2010

The main attraction to Formentera island is its tranquility and the fact it is completely unspoiled. It has a population of about seven thousand. It is the closest place to paradise on earth. Quite simply gorgeous. Many people have long know about the secret hideaway that is Formentera and some would argue a few too many people know about it’s pleasures in August a month when I would recommend that you stay away from this small Island. June and September and some of the best months to visit.

Formentera is only a stone throw away from Ibiza, but the white beaches and the turquoise sea give you this relaxed magic Caribbean feeling. It’s like being in another world. A world where you can get away from the madness that can sometimes consume Ibiza.

Formentera is mostly flat and small in size and its never far between towns and beaches. The best way to get around the island is by moped. There’s no better way to travel down it’s dusty lanes. The best way to get there is by chartering a boat and then you arrive at Formenteras best bits – it’s white sandy beaches that stretch for miles.

Formentera is well known for its fresh seafood with grilled fish and local fish stews being perennial favorites. Although don’t be fooled a lot of sea food is actually imported from Scotland! The sea food restaurants on the beach can be very expensive.

If you ever go to Ibiza then you must make the effort and take a trip to this beautiful island. It may be the smallest and most southerly island of the Balearic Islands group. but it is by far the finest. I’d stay clear of the Island in August as it get too busy. The ideal time is between May and Oct.

and finally I’m not biased but one of the best ways to see the island is by private boat (not necessarily mine). There are many different kinds available for Charter in Ibiza and all at reasonable prices. Just ask your local friendly search engine.

Cuba A World Of Adventure

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

Cuba Beaches with white, grey, black and golden sand contrast with blue or aqua-green seas; the calm water near a mountain peak hides the inner beauty of its seabed. Some of its coasts are on the Caribbean; others, on the Atlantic. In both cases, its shores tempt you to give yourself over to the sensual, magical movement of the waves.

Choose any of the large tourist resorts or an intimate, virgin, uninhabited spot for enjoying the beach. Take a cruise on board a pleasure yacht or catamaran, go deep -sea fishing or surfing, take out an aqua bike, warm up with snorkeling and then launch yourself on a real adventure with aqualungs among tropical fish and beautiful coral formations in some of the most amazing and best preserved underwater scenery in the world.

The Cuban archipelago, which is 42,854 square miles (110,992 square kilometers) in size, consists of the main island of Cuba-a long and narrow island measuring 744 miles (1200 kilometers) from east to west, the largest island in the Antilles-the Isle of Youth and around 4195 other cays and islets.

It has over 3560 miles (5746 kilometers) of irregular coastline, including more than 200 bays and over 300 beaches whose sand is of different colors and textures. It is common knowledge that the Cuban sea is of excellent quality.

Cuba has 36 scuba-diving centers, which are related to over 500 carefully selected sites in lush underwater seascapes. The show begins just a few feet from the coast, and it keeps expanding as you go out, climaxing in a slope or sharp drop.

This peaceful, silent world-whose water is so clear that you can see for from 65 to 130 feet (from 20 to 40 meters) around you teems with fish of many colors, shapes and sizes, whose world consists of forests of coral, sponges, gorgonians and algae.

Caves, profusely decorated vertical walls, tunnels, cliffs and channels offer endless options for scuba diving both during the day and at night…. Experiences go from simple observation to swimming near large fish in complete safety.

Cuba without a doubt is one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in the Caribbean. Combine that fact with a super rich history and you have the perfect formula for an unforgettable holiday.

Cheap Holidays in Cuba

Monday, December 21st, 2009

Probably you have been searching for some cheap Cuba holidays options already and you have not been very lucky. I intend to give you some tips on how to safe money before you book you package holidays to Cuba.

One element that increases the cost of a holiday package is definitely the transportation. When you want to visit few locations cause you want to get to know the real Cuba. Most travel agents out there will use taxi transfers in their quotes and when you hear the price then you start thinking maybe is best if I stick to 1 or 2 places to make it cheap.

My advice in this regard if you want to safe hundreds is to use VIAZUL Bus Company. Viazul has terminal in most of the Cuban provinces and the tickets are really cheap compared to taxi drives.

For the sake of comparing let’s take for instance a taxi transfer from Havana to Trinidad. This is a common combination that most tailor made tour operators use on their packages. A taxi from Havana to Trinidad costs around 150 GBP or 200 CUC and a ticket with Viazul cost just 25 CUC.

As you can appreciate the difference is huge. When you want to visit places like Havana, Pinar del Rio, Cienfuegos, Trinidad or Santiago de Cuba only in taxi transfers you could be paying well over 800 CUC. Viazul will safe you around 80 % of that amount.

Viazul has an excellent service. Their coaches are new and very comfortable. They come with WC, air conditioning and catering for long journeys.

Maybe you are one of those thinking of travelling around Cuba but don’t have a clue about distances and how large Cuba really is. When you look at the Mapa Mundi this island looks small compared to America but it actually stretches for more than 1200 Km from east to west.

Viazul although is very cheap compared to taxis it is a bit more uncomfortable. You will have to get a taxi from your hotel to the station and then get on the bus that will take you to your destination. As you can see it is not as comfortable as waiting for a taxi to take you to your next destination but is worth doing it if money is an issue.

Before you travel to cuba make sure to search for various options on cheap Cuba holidays.

Ideas For Choosing A Restaurant

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

If you are interested in choosing a restaurant, there are many details to consider. Cost, convenience, and the quality of the food must all be examined. Also worth considering is occasion. Once these details are solved, food type must then be considered.

I will examine the many factors that go into choosing a place to eat. Additionally, I will examine the various different food types available.

Things to consider:

Occasion – Formal settings are appropriate for meals in which you are trying to impress a guest with. For large gatherings, family style establishments are appropriate. However, if you are by yourself, you might try a fast-food establishment.

Convenience – Choosing a service that is convenient can be an integral part of the decision making process. For example, perhaps the easiest transaction is to select delivery or take-out dining.

Quality – Overall quality can affect many details of your dining experience. The ingredients, nutritional value, and overall restaurant atmosphere can have varying degrees of quality.

Cost – Keeping in mind your budget for food is important when deciding on a restaurant. Always remember that price can affect your overall enjoyment of the food.

Types of food:

American – If you like cheeseburgers and fries washed down with a shake, you’ll love this type of place.

Mexican – Many people’s favorite ethnic food, Mexican dishes can vary greatly. Enjoy tacos, burritos, tamales, and more.

Asian – Great for a healthy lifestyle, Asian food is rich in protein and vegetables. Try your dish of rice with chicken or tofu.

Sushi – If you are concerned with healthy choices, try seaweed and fish with this prestigious selection.

South American – Offering well-respected steak from Argentina, as well as a diet rich in meat, potatoes and regional plants, this is a delicious option.

Southern – For the healthy-hearted, dig in to fried treats like chicken and catfish, or even things out with a plate of greens.

Italian – Pizza, pasta, and lasagna. Need I say more? Choose from the many variations of the above dishes.

French – Often times when people think of French food, they think of pastries. The choices I’m sure are endless.

Seafood – Choose a simple shellfish, or something more unique like swordfish or squid.

Types of restaurants:

Fast food – If you want food that is quick and filling, but murder on your health, this is the choice for you.

Order at counter – Order at the front, get your food relatively fast, don’t worry about the tip, and enjoy quality dishes. A great option.

Diner – Nostalgic places that offer simple classics like apple pie a la mode. Grab a seat at the counter, or a booth with your friends.

Sit down restaurant – Usually offering the best food, in a formal setting, with excellent atmosphere. This is the choice for special occasions.

Delivery – For a usually small fee and tip to the delivery person, have your food dropped off at home to by enjoyed without the hustle and bustle of big crowds.

The many options above go to show the various decisions that must be made when one chooses a restaurant. Hopefully this information has provided you with the insights on food choice necessary to come to a decision.

Captiva Island Vacation Rentals When You Want Sun & Fun

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

An island in southwest Florida that borders the Gulf of Mexico and is a wonderful vacation spot is Captiva Island. This island dates back six thousand years. Initially it was connected with Sanibel Island. Captiva became its own island during a very bad hurricane. The storm surge separated it from Sanibel by Blind Pass. The blind pass was the storm surge. Captiva is also a barrier island to Pine Island. If a getaway is on the list, one should definitely look at Captiva Island Vacation Rentals for a great experience.

According to folklore, Captiva supposedly was named from a pirate captain, Jose Gaspar. He held kidnapped females on the island as prisoners. However, historians do not know if this is accurate as the only proof of this is a land developers advertising brochure. This island has a subtropical climate with an average daily high of over eighty degrees Fahrenheit. The average low is a little bit over sixty degrees Fahrenheit.

Captiva Island has its warmest days between July and mid October. The rainfall varies per year but in February the island receives a little over one inch and it will receive about six inches in September. Locals call September their favorite month out of the year but on average it appears to be the wettest. Captiva is truly a wonderful experience for all that go there.

If you love to be outdoors, Captiva is the place for you. Filled with six miles of beautiful white sands, Captiva has been rated the best surf and sand by tourists. There are always things to do. Sunbathing and relaxing are top on the list. However shelling is a very popular activity by visitors and locals. Sanibel and Captiva Islands host the most beautiful shells in the United States. There are many different types and all sorts of colors. One needs to remember to get the best looking shells you need to start early. Shelling is popular and the best shells are gone early. Also going to shell during low tide is a great tip. There are more shells to see. On the islands, the locals call shelling the. “Sanibel Stoop. “.

Water sports are always a fun way to spend the day. Yolo Watersports offers parasail rides about the Gulf of Mexico. A visitor can also get a guided ecotour of the mangrove ecosystem. This tour will show the visitor what lives in the mangroves. Studies of shells and the nature sanctuary will also be discussed.

Choosing the destination is half the battle and the next question is where to rest your weary head at the end of the day. There are many options for Captiva Island vacation rentals. The best way to find out what is for rent is completing a search on the internet. Captiva-Island.com has an extensive list. The list tells how many people can sleep in the home, the price and some of the features of the home or the surrounding grounds.

Local realtors are always a good way to find out what is out there. American Realty of Captiva is one such realtor. These realtors can figure out a good area for what you are looking for. For example, a young family may like to be within walking distance of the beach, near restaurants, shops and activities. However, honeymooners may like the more secluded off the beaten path type rental.

Lovely landscapes, lush tropical flowers, warm balmy breezes, who can resist this tropical paradise, not many. Captiva Island should be a destination on every persons list. Remember to do your research, find a wonderful vacation rental and enjoy. It does not matter what time of year you choose, Captiva Island is one in a million. A true Southwest Florida gem.

Obtaining a Passport for Your European River Cruise

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

If you are bound for a European river cruise escapade, but live within the US, it is a must to obtain a passport. Although the standard identification card like your driver’s license often serves as an appropriate means of verifying identity in the US, such ID and other standard IDs are not acceptable when travelling overseas. It will take approximately one month to one and half months to obtain a passport in the U.S. When preparing for your river cruise in Europe, it is essential to provide yourself adequate time between the start of the passport application process to boarding the water vessel. Here, I will share the simple steps on acquiring your passport swiftly and easily.

The initial step to getting a passport so you can take a European river cruise is to obtain a copy of acceptable papers that verify that you are who you say you are. Examples of these papers include a birth certificate, or a certification that verifies your citizenship. Next, you will want to locate a business that specializes in taking pictures for passport use.

It is a good idea to get at least four made – while two will go towards the passport, a travel Visa may be required so it is good to have extra copies in your possession. Once you have complied with this initial requirement, you may now proceed in downloading the application form accessible from the TRAVEL.STATE.GOV website.

Naturally, you must properly fill up the passport application in order to be approved. Bear in mind, it is adviseable to be thorough so that your European river cruise is not delayed. You will need to pay a fee for the applicatiom. It is also a must to include payment information so that the application can be processed smoothly.

You should then mail the application to the address indicated on the application and instruction list. If you have filled out everything completely, you expect to receive the passport for your European river cruise within a month to month and a half.

Preparing for Northern Europe Cruise is not an easy task. If you’d like to read advices from experts, you should visit our website. I’d personally recommend French river cruises for everyone who wants to see beautiful places in Europe.
